If there's any proof that this existence, from the micro to macroscropic, is all but chaos is when the good die not only young but unexpectedly and without reason. Rei Harakami, Japanese electronic composer extraordinaire, sadly now falls into this catagory. According to the (quite wonderful) make believe melodies blog Kyoto born Harakami-san died from a brain hemorrhage on July 27th, 2011. He was 40 years old. Now, I'd admit his music is still mostly unknown to me - I only have his 1999 lp Opa*q which I stumbled upon last year - but I feel it's only fair to share some of his music with you this week, in tribute to him, so this weeks podcast's is top and tailed with two tracks from that LP.
